Crusader Cities

Tyre (Sour):
City captured and given (1124) and given to Baldwin, King of Jerusalem. Key port. After defeat at Hattin (1187), only important city left (1187 - 1188); chance arrival of Conrad of Montferrat saved city from Saladin. Substantial Templar presence.

Imperial forces established in city (1231 - 1243) under Emperor Frederick II.
