Beirut:
Lordship of the Ibelins 1220s. It had fallen to Saladin after the Horns of Hattin (6/8/1187).
The palace of Beirut was rich in mosaics and marbles in Byzantine work. It belonged to John I and then his daughter, heiress Isabella d’Ibelin.
